A SURVEY OF METHODOLOGY FOR FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION ALGORITHM

Abstract

There are so many methods are available for human identification. Fingerprint is the oldest method. there are two steps is implements for all fingerprint reorganization that is pre-processing and post-processing which is used for images of fingerprint and abstract the features of a fingerprint. the first step is pre-processing which is used to fingerprint images enhanced through Fourier transform and Histogram equalization. mostly in gray fingerprint picture 0 value- which represents the ridge and 1 value- which is represent the bifurcation of fingerprint picture which is known as binarization image. The ROI (Region of Interest) is a binarized picture which is used to discrete the region of the real fingerprint through the background.
