RELATIVE STUDY OF HELICOVERPA ARMIGERA (GRAM POD BORERS) ON SUNFLOWER CULTIVARS

Abstract

The larval population of gram pod borer / 50 plants varied from 1.30 to 1.60 among different cultivars but ANOYA test showed that the larval population did not differ with the cultivars. However, these groups could be arranged into two groups i.e. slightly less susceptible and susceptible cultivars PAC 8699, SH. 9986, SSH 6163, Jwalamukhi, SH. 3322, PG 1080, MSFH 36, MSFH 17 and CSF292 were slightly less susceptible as compared to PHS 4, MSFH 31, MSFH 8, GK 2002, Morden, Sunshine 399 and PAC 3776.
