Abstract

The encryption is very commonly known method applied over data and text and now images also. We have focused over image encryption mainly in our work. Elliptical curve cryptography (Ecc) is classic and conventional approach has been applicable for image encryption and cryptography. The process of Ecc is based on key generation technique and has been provided comparative results to RSA algorithm. The convention approach has been altered and commuted through some changes in concept and then implemented in MATLAB. We have taken a index over the image using ROI feature to reduce the overall complexity and error calculation at the same time.


We have proposed a commuted concept of ECC in which we have compared the proposed method with the conventional approach in terms of time complexity and elapsed time. An input image of Indian currency has been taken and unlike existing work ROI approach has been introduced in which an index like convex hull has been created over a specific area.ROI proposed over the existing approach will reduce the complexity as it discard the unused domain in image which is not needed to be encrypted.
