DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES USED FOR 3-PHASE BLDC MOTOR CONTROL

Abstract

The main reason behind more popularity of Brushless Direct Current Motor (BLDC) over DC Motor among manufacturing industry is its many advantages over DC Motor like its more accuracy and less noise generation capacity compare with the other one. The BLDC motor uses an electrical type of commutator rather than the mechanical commutator, this feature proves that this is more reliable than DC motor. In BLDC motor, rotor magnets produce the magnetic flux due to which it achieves high efficiency. There are several techniques to control the speed of the BLDC motor;present paper discuss few most popular techniques likeBEMF technique, Field oriented control technique and Controlling of the speed by position sensors.
