FIBRE CHANNEL ARCHITECTURE: AN OVERVIEW
Main Article Content
Abstract
Fibre Channel is an ANSI standard-based protocol for the transmission of data between hosts/ servers and storage devices. Fibre Channel is defined by port addresses and each device port connected to a switch port creating a FC Fabric. Basically, Fibre Channel provides speed, reliability, distance, and connectivity; at a low cost. It ensures transmission capacity and conveyance while having the capacity to deal with any convention or topology. This is an exploration paper on Fiber Channel.
