Abstract

To determine the capacity of the alternator for vehicle electric power system appropriately, many things should be considered, such as vehicle types, weather conditions, driving conditions, electrical load demands, and others. In real driving conditions, the maximum output current of the alternator varies according to the engine rpm, and also the electrical load demand varies depending upon the weather and driving conditions.


This article discuss in detail about modeling & simulation of Alternator for vehicle electric power system using Matlab/Simulink platform.
