Abstract

 The electrical power requirements of passenger vehicles are ever increasing, since facilities which earlier were only found on luxury vehicles are now becoming essential selling points also for lower priced models. Examples of such facilities include power steering, seat heating and infotainment systems, which consume substantial quantities of electrical power. This yields a need for better solutions of the electrical power supply in vehicles. The overview of this article is used to model the best investigated power supply system in the simulation environment.
