Abstract

Traditional authentication and identification technology commonly used in schools, universities, companies and organizations and any institution has proved to have errors and loop holes. These traditional authentication and identification waste a lot of time and hence reduces productivity For example, with large groups of student’s manual supervision is also very tough to execute. Therefore, these traditional student tracking methods have loopholes which cannot prevent proxy attendance, and attendance tracking errors and all other serious problems that have a direct effect on education quality. Biometric attendance tracking systems are automated and provide a convenient way to quickly record student check-in and check-out times. Biometric technologies uses human physical and biometric characteristics to ensure identification accuracy, prevent errors, and eliminate proxy attendance even from identical twins.
