DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION OF PC PERIPHERAL USING ATMEGA MICRO-CONTROLLER & USART INTERFACE
Main Article Content
Abstract
The main objective of this work is to control the cursor inside the PC using analog resistive touch screen. We can also call this as Touch Screen Mouse. The touch screen is interface with ADC of the ATmega 8 AVR controller. Then ADC can read X, Y coordinates voltage from the touch screen. Then the controller computes X, Y directions and some operations to perform the cursor movement inside the PC and performing as to select a folder and open the folder inside the PC by using touch screen. Then ATmega 8 controller connects to the MAX 232, the MAX 232 connects to PC via USART interface.
