“Sand Stupa”, A Specific Local Religious Unstable Building in Indochina

Abstract

Religious building is usually designed in a good architecture. It is usually aimed for very long lasting. However, there are also some specific religious building that is unstable but can last for a very long time. In this article, the authors present and discuss on “Sand stupa”, a specific local religious unstable building in Indochina. This is a temporary building in the Buddhist pagoda complex and local people have annually ceremony at the stupa and results in a last long existence of the unstable building.
